Syracuse

We bunk at a hotel in Syracuse and come morning, what a pleasant surprise – we are literally beside Syracuse Airport. No wonder I kept hearing planes when checking in last night!

The hotel swimming pool – anybody for a dip?

In such temperature, even the walk to the car park is an ordeal.

Our poor 4-wheeler, with loose snow scraped off the windscreen. But the engine promptly starts with no complaint, and soon it becomes a warm, comfy shell for us in such horrid weather.

But before we leave Syracuse, one last assignment – a visit to a local quilt shop. A bloke shopping at a quilt shop?

I promised to get this stuff for my dear missus, and I surely got it!

Anyway the quilt shop is like an art gallery, so I do some viewing …

This is one awesome poppy flower quilt.

Yes, one satisfied customer ready to leave.

We are soon on our way westward along the I-90 toll highway, heading for Buffalo, as more snow falls.
